Sharry grew up in Lima, OH, and first heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ at a Good News Club in her elementary school when she was 9 years old. That day, she gave her heart to Jesus, a decision that also became a turning point in the lives of her parents as they recommitted their lives to Christ.

As a high school sophomore, Sharry attended a National Youth Conference where she sensed God's call on her life for full-time ministry. She later graduated from Crown College with a degree in Christian Education/Youth Ministry, becoming the second full-time female Youth Pastor in the denomination she served. During this time, she reconnected with Greg, and they were married on November 24, 1990.

Sharry and Greg have 4 children. In 1997, her only daughter, Emily, just 3 1/2 years old, died from a cancerous brain tumor. This heartbreaking loss transformed her faith and deepened her relationship with Jesus. Today, she is the proud mom of three adult sons: Matthew (Kate), Nathan, and Andrew, and her grandson, Graham.

Sharry is an engaging teacher, speaker, and leader who is passionate about helping people live in the freedom of Jesus. She loves connecting with people, hearing their stories, and encouraging them in their faith. On Sundays, feel free to introduce yourself — you’ll likely find her with a Chai Tea latte in hand or spending time with her family.
